[Sephiroth has been to Loki's theatre before, but just to familiarize himself with its location. Today he's come in search of Loki, walking in through its doors and looking around.

He doesn't know what happened between Loki and his doppelganger, or he'd have come sooner. But he saw some disconcerting things in that other world, and... Loki may not remember everything, but Loki is the one who understands him, even so.]

[ loki had been keeping to himself. he didn't want to talk to people. he didn't want to check on friends. he just wanted to be alone and remain alone. he had thor again. he didn't need anyone else.

if he said it enough, it'll become belief. and then it'll become truth. that's all he needs.

the wards alert him to a presence and he rises gingerly to greet them.

oh. it was sephiroth. ]

Not particularly. What can I do for you?

...I was hoping to talk.

[And actually talking about things is not something he ordinarily initiates, so of course he's awkward about it.]

Are you aware what happened in Sunset Falls, earlier this month?

[...well, now a different question occurs to him, actually.]

...did you meet him?

It went poorly?

[ loki shrugs. ]

You weren't yourself. I'm not holding it against you.

You still seem ill at ease.

[ he shakes his head. ]

I'm just recuperating. That's all.

Recuperating?

I got stabbed.

[unkindled_madness]

He stabbed you?

[He takes a step closer and then-- stops. Loki is feeling uneasy with him because he was attacked by someone who looks just like him.]

[ loki shakes his head. ]

I meant what I said. I don't hold it against you. And besides, I let it happen. I was hoping to get close enough to — [ loki pauses. ]

[It may not be his fault, but he doesn't like that it happened.]

To bring you back. It failed, obviously.

[unkindled_madness]

...but you tried to bring me back.

[He's sure that means something.]

[dothelokimotion]

[ in a short tone of voice. ]

[He might be missing some of that tone. Trying is good, obviously.]
