He was searching for . . . his mother and didn't seem to trust me.

He certainly seemed to think so. I told you she wasn't here but he wouldn't believe me.

While he was in my reality, I believe I was in his. Or, some version of it, anyway. Something... happened to him.

I've been trying to piece it together. Everything was on fire. And when I first saw him, he appeared wounded.

I've never been hurt that badly.

Yes. Perhaps he was chasing that, but he had no name for it. And made it a consuming need.
