Is that the lore of Asgard?

Not quite. In my memory, we existed long before humanity did. Even when I was a boy, I was told my people had fought against Asgard for generations, failing time and time again.

Whether or not all that truly happened doesn't necessarily matter, though.

I suppose it's hard to separate myth from truth.

Still. Being a reflection of humanity. I've never thought of it that way. Our interactions with humans have always been so limited.

I didn't think of it that way until I started writing, TBH. When I realized I could shift stories in a way that reflected myself, I thought... someone else must have done the same.

Perhaps that's a natural transition. From mischief to story. I doubt I can do it though.

Are you not doing it already with your theater?

To some degree, though I'm not simply hosting my stories. I enjoy all stories.

Seems I'm repeating myself, but I feel similarly. I've actually only ever written one story total.

Not... initially. It was supposed to be about our uncle.

Which one would that be?

Cul Borson? The Serpent and the God of Fear.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki shakes his head. ]

You have a far more extended family tree than I do.

[ he grimaces. ]

Or Odin hid and killed them all.

I realize this is extremely hypocritical and in poor taste, but... that may have been a good idea in Uncle Cul's case.

He's nearly or as powerful as the All-Father, even Thor could not defeat him without my help.

Definitely killed then.

What did he want?

Exiled is my best guess. Odin is... sentimental, in that way.

[Loki knows firsthand, as that is why he was allowed to live.]

For fear itself to rule over all. He aimed to destroy the Nine Realms with but a feeling.

But as his author, [he considers for a moment] I think he was lonely.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loneliness is a driving motivator. ]

Sometimes I wonder what it is about Asgard that makes us so . . .

[ he trails off, not even sure how to finish that. they were gods. untouched by time. living on the evenstar of the universe. and yet. ]

Weak? That is what I wrote into Cul, I mean. A weakness where he had none. A sense of humanity, some might call it.

[dothelokimotion]

Before, I would not have said that's much of a weakness we had but . . . [ he shrugs, looking a bit sheepish. ] . . . Self-reflection is difficult to navigate.

[he laughs] Especially with yourself, yes?

I'm not admitting to that.

His weakness was his first love. A girl with silky black hair and glowing green eyes who nursed him back to health when none would even look at him. He hated everyone, as was his nature, yet that memory haunted him still. Millennia had passed and he was no longer the boy she cared for. But. For a split second, he remembered her kindness and wished for it once more.

And that is when Thor was able to strike.
