I was concerned. And . . . I felt a bit responsible for what I told. About narratives.

I would've done it regardless, for what it's worth. I'd been plotting to kill him since the first day I arrived here.

I won't. I have too many plans to remain depressed for long. After all, the story has not ended. It shall be continued, as I wish.

[ he wonders if they'll involve less murder but eh. a little murder can go a long way, sometimes. ]

The other one I wrote was awful anyways. Although I'd argue that had more to do with my editor than me.

[Not really. The demon might have guided him, but all the ideas were his own.]

Hmm. I'm not sure it's an argument you'd win.

[ he rises to his feet. things are not badly off and any more time spent may have them into . . . sentimental territory. which he's not up to.

still. he pauses. tries again. ]

A Scottish author wrote that into the head of a boy who could never grow up. I spent some time with those born from British folklore, manipulated wars between tradition and innovation.

Stories within stories. You and I are the same.

[ he wonders about that. he feels more of a footnote these days. a little bit of chaos in between the lines. he manages a small smile. ]

That doesn't sound so terrible.
