( who, interestingly enough, is the only human god that eda has any actual knowledge of. because she shares the same name of a character in a book series that her kid is in love with.

so eda knows all about her.

and luz's theories about the parallels between the character and the goddess. plus a whole bunch more useless knowledge like that. )

Yes . . . though it's wise to avoid the Greek pantheon. They're . . . somewhat unhinged.

Gods? No. God-like, maybe. Probably depends on how you'd define it.

The closest thing we have is the Titan, whose corpse is the mountains and the fields.

Ymir? I don't know that one.

He was a Giant and his body formed the world. At least that was one of the legends.

but a giant? there's no way he can mean the kind of giant that eda's familiar with. )

I'm guessing Giants aren't just really big guys?

They are. This giant — Ymir — was the progenitor of all Giants. Hence, the largest.

[harageous]

( well no kidding about them being similar. she flips her phone over in her hand a few times as she considers how to reply. )

As such, big enough to form to the world. I got you. I'm following.

It is a story. There are many stories like this. Across the universe.

It is not so surprising to only hear of it now.
