[Stephen let out a soft sigh, letting the door swing shut behind them.]

[ Loki pauses at that, unsettled before looking away. ]

[ Loki briefly reaches out to touch Stephen's cheek, letting his finger trail over the skin before he lets his hand drop. ]

[That light touch earned a faint smile from Stephen, the dropped hand caught to give a light squeeze with scarred fingers before it was released.]

Should probably get cleaned up.

[Not to mention concoct a plan to send the displaced creatures back to the realm they belonged to, which would need a trawl through the library to make sure he got the right place. If he was observant, Loki could likely all but see the wheels starting to turn already.]

[The firm tone got a lifted brow from the sorcerer, but he didn't look upset. It was always a tossup on if Loki would let him get away with being a workaholic mess or not.]

Resting is a lot more enjoyable when I'm not a bloody mess.

[Stephen was well aware that cleaning up wasn't what Loki was putting the kibosh on here.]

[ Loki smiles, saccharine-sweet. ]

Is that so? Then we had best see it done.

I figured you'd see reason.

[A slight tilt of his head as Stephen considered Loki a moment.]

What about you, did you get hit by anything?

[Whether he meant injury or simply by the mess, the question did include both.]

[ Loki shrugs. ]

A few scratches. Nothing that will last the night.

[That, Stephen can believe with how sturdy Asgardians are as a rule. So he simply nods in acceptance of Loki's assurance.]

A handy trick to be sure.

[He caught Loki's hand again lightly in his, headed towards the bedroom and the private bathroom there.]

C'mon and keep me company?

[It was about as close to asking for help as he'd get really; with all the fighting they'd done, his hands were starting to ache and he knew he'd need at least a little assistance in some of the more fiddly things. He could do it himself if he needed to, but at the same time it was an excuse to keep Loki with him after the worry from before.]

[Stephen grinned back at him at that.]

It almost sounds like you expect me to be trouble.

[ Loki leads him to the bed as he conjures a few bandages and antiseptic. ]

Hard not to be when I make such a habit of it.

[Stephen will trust Loki with the supplies as it seems he has it in hand, instead sitting on the edge of the bed to peel off his shirt, nudge off his shoes.]

[ He gives a lascivious smirk. ]

Take off your shirt.

[He chuckles at that, tossing his cloak to one side to let it slither away to settle over the nearby chair while he obeyed, shirt pulled over his head and tossed in the same direction.]

You're lucky you're attractive enough that I'm not insisting on a 'please'.

[ Loki applies the salve to his fingers. ]

You had best lie down.

[Either way, the sorcerer shifted to pull his legs up, lay out a bit more comfortably on the bed, trusting Loki to handle things for the moment.]
