[He relaxes a little, tapping an idle rhythm on the table.]

[ Loki hesitates. There is nowhere to go now. Asgard is Hela's now and Thor was — his fingers tighten under the table even if his expression doesn't flicker. ]

Well, as I said. No one gets out, correct? The only means is through a ship.

A ship and a way to avoid getting shot the fuck down before you make it to the closest portal.

[Lup has been doing her best to map the portals, based on what comes through, and they know which one they want to go through. They're working on a ship. But they still can't risk it, not yet.]

[Taako is an expressive person, by nature, even if he's learnt to control it a bit better, but he's obviously interested.]

[ In fact, "Loki" vanishes and there he is, leaning over Taako's ear. ]

How do you think I noticed you?

[His flirting had, mostly, been something he does just for the sake of it, but unlike whatever else Loki's illusions can fool, Taako is very much not a machine.

He ignores the shiver than runs down his spine and fights the urge to turn to look at Loki.]

I kinda assumed it was my amazing legs.

[ Loki gives a casual shrug as he goes back to his seat. ]

[He's almost a little disappointed, but he smiles anyway, bracing his elbows on the table, fingers linked together so he can rest his chin on them.]

The ship's a work in progress but it's close, there's a portal to the east that has a shipping port on the other side. The plan is to hitch a ride fro there to somewhere fucking habitable.

[He's careful not to mention an us or we, even though that's what it will be. He won't give too much away until he knows more about Loki, but he can say this, for now.]

Where did you find the ship?

[ There are plenty in the scrapyard, certainly, but most of those have been scavenged to their bare bones. ]

It's the one I got here in, took a lot of damage on the way down so that's been the delay, you know?

[Not only getting it back to working order, but improving it as much as they can, so it can withstand another trip through the portal.]

[ A mode of transport already available could be the key to leaving. Loki can hardly believe it. ]

How long is the delay?

A month, unless shit gets wild one way or another.

[It's a little less than that, but he'd rather overestimate than underestimate.]

[ A month is nothing to Loki and he's confident in his ability to handle the Grandmaster for that long. ]

Give me passage on your ship and I'll aid your escape.

I mean, I'm into it, sounds great, but just so you know you're not seeing the ship for at least two more weeks, I'm not stupid.

[If that's a deal breaker, so be it, but Taako wants to get a better read on Loki before he reveals the ship, and that requires time.]

[ Loki shrugs. If Taako was, that would make this escape attempt doomed from the start. ]
